This is how we began.
Right before we were married at the end of 2016, Dana decided to quit her accounting job at a law firm to spend more time with family, prepare for the wedding, and have extra time for our honeymoon before taking another job in the new year. In the past, she talked about how she wished she could just take care of animals all day, and I thought it would be a great opportunity for her to try that out instead. I urged her to give it a shot, so she did.
In getting her business started, Dana realized she needed a few things to market herself. With her direction and requests, I helped her build a website. After a few dog walks scheduled through text messages, she began amassing ideas on how her workflow could be improved. She found some services online that could do some of what she wanted, but as someone just starting out the price was too high for the features provided, and they were all way too complicated for what should be a super simple task. So we started improving the website, adding features to allow her customers to book and pay online. Then her business began to grow further, and more tweaks needed to be added to the website to keep up with her requirements. Soon, customers were being invoiced, new services being added, and the website was becoming a critical tool in her day-to-day work.
As a side-effect of Dana's pet care business, we now have a product we're proud of, intended for people who are just getting into the pet care business, but with features for seasoned pros. As Dana's business continues to grow, Walkles will follow.
We look forward to helping you out with your pet care business.
