How I Started

I started Dogs in the Park in 2008 after many years of office management for local, successful businesses. I wanted to be challenged with something entirely new, work for myself, and be outdoors. At the time my husband, Joon and I had two dogs, Gabi and Bruno (rescued Neapolitan Mastiff and French Mastiff). We foster and rehabilitate mastiffs for local mastiff rescues and I often assist the Pasadena Humane Society with giant breeds. Over time I developed a passion for special needs dogs, both medically and behaviorally. I decided to become a professional dog walker combining the things I love the most: animals, exercise and being outdoors!

Over ten years later I still haven't changed, only added to my hobbies and loves. I continue to take classes at Pasadena City College, work on my landscape photography, and seek out new places to hike and trail run. Joon and I will always have two or three rescue dogs and at least one will always be a senior or diamond-in-the-rough.

Services and Rates:

All visits require a complimentary "meet and greet" before services begin. Key service will be discussed at that time.

Stop-By

$20.00 includes: a quick potty-break, refresh water, kisses and cuddles, and check to be sure everything is as it should be. This is perfect for puppies, seniors, cats, multiple visits, or when the weather is inclement.

30 minute Individual Visit

$25.00 includes: 1-2 dogs for a customized walk based on your dog's specific needs and level of fitness, refresh water, and lots of love. Walk is in your neighborhood and I come to you. Perfect for a midday potty break while you're at work.

45 minute Individual Visit

$30.00 includes: 1-2 dogs for a customized walk based on your dog's specific needs and level of fitness, refresh water, and extra time for lots of fun. Walk is in your neighborhood and I come to you. The extra time on this walk helps with dogs that are anxious, energetic or just need extra attention.

60 minute Individual Visit 

$35.00 includes: 1-2 dogs for a long, adventurous walk through your local neighborhood. Customized to your dog and can be leisurely, moderate or include some light jogging (weather permitting). With an hour there's time for a possible playdate with an another friendly dog if both pet parents agree and dogs are compatible. I come to you. This option is often for the tireless pooch or when the pet parent will be away most of the day.

Jog/ Trail Run/ Hike

$45.00 includes: 1 dog (per dog fee) and your choice of a local hike, trail run, or a jog at the Rose Bowl. Dogs must be dog friendly or non-reactive. Must be planned in advance, weather permitting and time will be determined and based on weather. I will pick-up and drop-off your dog. If you would like your dog to hike with my dog, Bella they will need to meet before the hike.

*$5.00 for each additional dog - $45.00 per dog for hiking

*$10.00 surcharge for major holidays
